The Balcony Power Plant Storage Expansion Set offers not only solar power storage and emergency power supply, but also three-phase power compensation that optimally reduces grid draw to zero. With an island-ready inverter and a 5.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, the set allows operation even without grid power and sunshine, while excess power can be fed into the public grid. The included three-phase meter measures and compensates for total power consumption, and the system is designed for balcony power plants up to 2400W, but is expandable for larger photovoltaic systems.

Balcony power plant with storage expansion

You have a balcony power plant, but you also want to store the solar power, protect yourself against a power outage and compensate your three-phase power consumption as best as possible to zero grid draw? Then this set is just right for you. The islandable inverter from Victron Energy allows you to disconnect from the grid and continues to supply you with power in the event of a power outage. This makes it possible to run the balcony power plant without grid power, which conventional systems cannot do.
Due to the large 5.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery (non-flammable), the inverter continues to supply you with electricity even without sunshine. The system can be coupled with the public power grid or operated completely self-sufficiently.
The inverter has a grid approval and can also deliver surplus power to the public grid (adjustable). You have the possibility to control the system via control unit with display on site or via the free Victron VRM Portal over the internet and view your electricity savings.
The three-phase meter included in the package measures your total electricity consumption and compensates it in the best possible way.
The package is designed for balcony power plants up to 2400W, for larger photovoltaic systems the system can also be extended.

Information:

Installation should be carried out by qualified personnel, please also refer to the safety instructions in the Victron MultiPlus-II manual.

The balcony power plant can be connected to the islandable output of the Victron MultiPlus-II as well as between the input (not islandable) and the energy meter.

Only the devices connected to the AC1 output of the inverter will continue to be supplied in the event of a power failure.

The system should be installed in dry rooms with ambient temperatures from +10°C to max +50°C.

Solar systems with excess feed-in are subject to registration, the MultiPlus-II 48/3000 is approved for this purpose.
